Subject UPDATE NOTICE: Board Approves Listing Delay For CME Degree Days Index Futures And Options - Effective Friday, March 7, 2003.

This is an update to the previous notice, Q2003-16, that was sent out on Tuesday, March 4, 2003.  We hope that this helps clarify any questions that you may have had.

On Wednesday, March 5, 2003, the Board of Directors approved a delay in the listing for the October 2003, and subsequent contract months, due to a pending change in the cash settlement index for CME Degree Days Index Futures.

CME will resume listing the October 2003, and subsequent contracts, once a new licensing agreement has been executed.

The listing delay will take effect on Friday, March 7, 2003.
